I call these tiny paintings “moments”. Painted practically every day for almost thirty years, they chronicle the weather, mood, place and feeling of a moment in time. All inspired by the day they were painted, all moments in my life.
There’s an awe about these little paintings, an aesthetic quality that whether painted with sweeping impasto or thin transparency, each leaves me with a palpable energy that is captured and saved under glass…a window in time.
They are painted spontaneously, my reaction to what I’m seeing at that time. I don’t think about it. I allow it to move me and take me on a ride, heightening and broadening my personal experience, capturing in paint a moment in my life.
All Moments come framed as pictured above. "Sunflowers"
